How to make a custom shirt in Claude

Claude can't print a shirt by itself, but with a shirt store's connector added it can show shirts, price an order and set up your design, which you then finish and order in the store's studio. Claude doesn't make images, so artwork comes from a picture you upload in the studio or from the studio's own drawing tool.

Add the connector

  1. In Claude, open Settings, then Connectors, and choose Add custom connector.
  2. Name it ChatAttire and use the URL https://chatattire.com/claude/mcp. There is no sign-in or account to create.
  3. Turn ChatAttire on for a chat from the tools menu, then ask for a shirt in plain words.

What to ask

"Show me your t-shirts in black" gets shirt cards with prices and colours. "How much are 12 black Classic Tees in large, printed front and back?" gets a quote with the quantity discount and total. "Make matching navy shirts for our family reunion that say 'Garcia Reunion 2027'" sets up the studio with that shirt, colour and those words, spelled exactly as you wrote them.

Once the studio is open, ask for changes in the chat, such as different words or a different colour, and the studio open in your browser picks them up within a few seconds.

Pictures and drawings

Pictures you upload to Claude can't be passed on to the store, so upload them in the studio itself. If you describe a design instead, the studio opens with your idea filled in, and the drawing tool draws it when you press Draw it. Each visitor can make up to 20 drawings a day at no charge.

Where the studio opens

In Claude the studio opens in a browser tab rather than inside the chat. Add the connector on the web or desktop app first; it then also appears in Claude's mobile apps. More on ChatAttire in Claude and ChatGPT.
